For our client in the banking sector in Frankfurt, we are currently hiring an Unix Infrastructure Senior Engineer (m/f).

Location: Frankfurt
Duration: in a limited permanent position at Nash direct/Harvey Nash Group for 18 months with option to extend
Tasks:
*Participate in the design and testing of the client standard releases based on Oracle Solaris and Red Hat Enterprise Linux for physical and virtual platforms.
*Configuration of management products such as Red Hat Satellite and other orchestration and automation technologies for the deployment of new instances based on new standard OS releases and for the upgrade of existing running instances to the latest standards, and handover of tools and procedures to the System Operations Team.
*Coordination of the periodic vulnerability patching activities.
Your profile:
*Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information system security, or related disciplines
*Engineering and design experience
*On-call duties possible
*Experience in the design and implementation of complex Oracle Solaris and Red Hat Linux infrastructures including IT management components for the automated administration of UNIX instances during their life cycle (deployment, continued compliance, retirement)
*In depth knowledge of and experience with Oracle Solaris 10 and higher, Sun Cluster
*Coordination of the periodic vulnerability patching activities.
*Experience with VMware vSphere 5.1 and higher.
*Experience with Oracle SPARC, HP and possibly Cisco server hardware and related management tools
*Experience working in a mature IT environment with established IT Service Management processes.
*A good command of English with proven drafting ability
*Working experience in an international organisation
