For our client located in Dusseldorf, we are currently looking for a Software Engineer.

Project background:
IBS Digital Workplace plans its own welcome application to be distributed on all Windows 10 Laptops and PC. The Welcome application should guide the user through initial steps of connectivity after delivery of a devices as well as provide a knowledge base for further information. It is also planned to centrally spread important information to the users, when it's necessary. The content should be maintained centrally. Preferably in a O365 SharePoint. If not possible we can provide a word press installation. The application additionally should have the possibility to pre-fill contact, pre-install it and it updates itself after having established a network connection.
Tasks
- Request demand and fix feature set.
- Create a technical design and specification of given feature description.
- Develop and create app prototypes and present them to the team.
- Develop and code the application based on the formerly agreed design and the specification.
- Change according to feedback
- Handover test- and production version to the client
Project goal
The welcome app should be pre-installed on each new PC. The app should re-appear as soon as the user ticks a button to hide it. However the app should be triggered centrally to re-appear.
- Native Windows Application, Content is being held centrally.
- Potentially the existing SharePoint
- Application should detect automatically on which hardware it runs.
- Idea is to have SharePoint as Back End
- Should include a "newsfeed" that informs about probably based on App Notifications.
- Should run on Windows 7 informing about Windows 10 in-place update
