Earlier this year our consulting firm launched a product called MemberSpace (https://www.memberspace.com) that helps our customers create membership businesses on their own website. We started the project to help a few of our website customers but now we have over 250 paying customers and growing. I am the sole developer on the project and at this stage the bottle neck. I need help developing new features and improving existing areas of the app. We are looking for someone to help out somewhere in the range of 20 hours per month. More hours could be added over time.You might be asking what tools we play with. Here it is:
- Infrastructure: Everything is on AWS, code is on Github
- Storage: PostgreSQL and Redis
- Server: Ruby on Rails app
- Front-end: Some jQuery and more recently React with the Redux (Flux) architecture
- Testing: The Rails app is extensively tested with unit and integration tests. Starting to do JS testing. Tests are run on every deployment.
- JS App: We also serve a JS app via a CDN that is pure JS. This app does some extensive cross domain messaging.
We don't require that you know all of these tools, as they can be learned, just that you like writing code, can dish out jokes, and like to learn new stuff.
