Transmission/Transport Planning Manager

3 months + contract but likely to last at least 1 year
This global telecoms company are seeking an experience Transmission/Transport Planning Manager to join a project in Dusseldorf, Germany.
- Connection planning for base stations via IP and PDH services within extensive network modernization and network consolidation projects
- Interface to the planning departments of our customers, coordination of detailed planning for selected RAN clusters, active monitoring and support of the planning activities for upcoming conversion measures
- Interface to the integration and/or configuration teams, ensuring the completeness, correctness, timeliness and feasibility of all planned measures, clarification with the project teams involved
- Matching of planning data and network status in cooperation with the OMC or NMC teams (as required)
- Design and test low-level design for selected RAN clusters (including DCN)
- Application of all relevant tools and databases in network planning
- Involvement in the improvement of processes and optimization of the information flows in the modernization project
- Active sharing of expertise within the project teams
Qualifications required:
- Several years of experience in the planning of transport networks and access networks with a mobile operator in the areas of: radio, optical networks, IP-RAN and DCN.
- Good and secure knowledge of German, both written and spoken, as well as secure knowledge of English
