Tangent International are urgently looking for a German Speaking Senior Project Management Consultant to work a 3 month rolling contract based in Germany (Munich).Scope Description
Senior Project Management Consultant
Location
- The consultant is based in Munich with the requirement to travel if needed to other location within Germany including overnight stays.
Relationships and Authority
- Consultant reports to the lead project manager
- The consultant has the authority to assign work to project team members and cross functional areas within the organization as well as partners delivering services to the project
- Maintains a good customer relationship with his/her peers and project team members on the customer side
- Leads and manages multiple partner companies and their project deliverables
Key Competences
- Solid background in telecommunications of at least 15 years experience
- Must have been in multiple senior project management positions in telecommunication area managing complex projects in accordance with recognized project management methodology (PMP, Price 2 or equivalent).
- Previous experience in the German telecommunications market is expected preferably in roll out management related fields ideally with knowledge of our main customer
- Ability to listen, communicate, challenge and influence team members, immediate peer group and senior business management
- Excellent planning, co-ordination and organisation skills
- Excellent leadership skills and "can do" attitude - can inspire and energise people by gaining respect and trust
- Excellent people management skills
- Experience in vendor/partner/subcontractor management
- Able to maintain composure and professionalism in pressurized, stressful and uncertain situations
- Able to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders within the business at all levels.
- Is well organized and able to multi task effectively.
- Responsive and follows through on agreed actions
- Able to express ideas and information clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrates a passion for excellence, setting high standards for self and others
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Projects, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential
Key Responsibilities and Accountability
- The Project Manager will work with a mix of internal teams, partners, external consultants and peers on the customer side. As a project manager he/she has the overall responsibility for planning and managing a specified subproject of a multi-partner large sized project with significant teams which delivery is key to the overall customer project. The Project Manager will have input into the project planning process. The nature of the role requires excellent stakeholder management skills to build strong client contacts with senior stakeholders across the business.
- Mange the overall project deliverables fulfilling on time delivery of roll out targets assuring quality standards are fulfilled in accordance with the customer guidelines.
- Improves efficiency and cost of the project delivery
- Must be committed to increasing customer satisfaction. He/she sets achievable customer expectations and ensures commitments to customers are met
- Must be able to adapt to operating within an environment of changing priorities and is able to remain focused on continual improvement
- Provide progress reports on key deliverables to management and customer at an agreed frequency.
