Senior Hadoop Engineer

Job Details
We are looking for a Senior Hadoop Engineer who will work on a Project with our client in Prague. The suitable candidate will travel a lot within Europe (ocassionally the US) and it requieres more than 50% of travelling. The Person also has to be very flexible and willing to travel a lot.

Task and activities
• 4+ years of experience programming in Java or Scala
• Experience with Hadoop, Spark or MapReduce
• Linux / Unix experience
• Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, relational database design and methods
• Some experience in leading small technical teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Ideal candidates also have the following experience:
• Programming experience with any of the Hadoop tools (HDFS, Pig, Hive, Hbase, Scoop, Kafka, etc.)
• Familiarity with different development methodologies (e.g. agile, waterfall, XP, scrum, etc)
• Experience in building complex and non-interactive systems (batch, distributed, etc.)
