Beschreibung

This exciting opportunity is open to candidates coming from all over Europe and will allow you to be heavily involved in an interesting project and work with one of the most reputable companies in Munich. You will be joining a new and growing team working with cutting edge technologies within the Big Data space and be responsible for supporting business critical applications that make a real difference to their customers. This will involve taking ownership of the development and delivery of all technical deliverables; creating and maintaining the platform roadmaps, and provide in-depth technical design and support. As well as using an innovative approach to create complex solutions within time, budget and objectives, you will own solutions to ensure they are appropriate and technically viable.

Essential Skills:

* Proven experience architecting Big Data Platforms using Hortonworks and/or Cloudera distributions
* Demonstrated knowledge of data warehouse concepts
* Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture
* Hands on experience and knowledge with security components such as Kerberos, Ranger and Knox
* Fluent in at least 2 object-oriented languages, (ideally Java or python) and familiarity with functional languages
* UNIX/Linux hands on experience
* Proficient in SQL (Hive and Impala)
* Experience with several major distributed processing frameworks: MapReduce, Spark, Spark Streaming, Storm
* Experience with Kafka and Hbase
* Understanding of CI and deployment patterns/tools (Jenkins etc)
* Proven ability to work with software engineering teams and understand complex development systems and patterns

This 3-month contract is highly likely to extend well beyond the initial duration. Interviews are available at short notice via video link. A start date would be preferred ASAP after.
