For our client in specialty chemicals industry, we are searching a Sharepoint Consultant to support a upcoming migration by developing a concept.
Position: SharePoint Migration Consultant
Start date: mid of October 2016
End date: 09.12.2016
Volume: depends on estimated work load, part time possible
Location: Leverkusen
Language: English required, German beneficial
Project background:
Our client is currently working with SharePoint 2010 and is also using several in-house developments. In the next year they want to migrate to Office 365 (Cloud)/SharePoint 2016. Therefore they need a consultant who is able to check and analyse their complete SharePoint farm (also non-standard applications) and develops a migration concept. Our client has the internal knowledge, but because of heavy workload they are not able to do it without external support. Current team: 3 developers, 2 administrators.
Objective:
Listing of all applications that need to be migrated and the respective migration concept (hybrid/on premise/cloud etc with respective licence fees etc).
This concept will be presented to the Head of IT. Preference: Cloud based solution!
Required skills:
- Being able to think in concepts
- Very good technical SharePoint knowledge, also hands-on
- Experience with SharePoint migrations (and the conception part of it)
- Experience with Workflows/Code reading -> ability to see what needs to be developed, what can be migrated directly?
- Experience in writing scripts
Existing tools/instruments
Our client uses an internal life cycle management with all sites and applications.
