Our client is currently looking for a Senior Java Engineer (m/f) for a project in Dreilinden.

• Our client is looking for an experienced Java Engineer for the Trust & Safety team. 
• The Trust & Safety team creates algorithms and applications to automatically detect fraud on the site as well as to improve the quality of listing and the communication of sellers and dealers. 
• Being a cross functional team, our team consists of engineers, data analysts and product managers
  
  
• Next to your typical engineering duties with activities such as software design, development and bug fixing you?ll be expected to collaborate closely with other dev teams, Site Operations as well as participate in discussions, give your opinion and your ideas and contribute to the solution of problems
  
  

• Long-term work experience as Java developer
• Fluent English (fluent German would be nice)
• Expert knowledge in developing (web apps) with Spring, Hibernate, MySQL, Maven, MongoDB and Morphia
• Hands-on experience / knowledge of typical web technologies (HTML, JavaScript)
• Familiarity with source control, particularly Git
• Working experience with agile methodologies
• Strong communication skills & effective team player
• Experience at web companies

• Experience with Scala 
• Knowledge about machine learning and text mining algorithms 
• Ext.JS for our internal customer service applications
