Job Description
We are looking for a (Big) Data Engineer that will work on the collecting, storing and processing and analysing of data, does batch processing or Real Time processing on it, and serves the data via an API to a data scientist who can easily query it.
Skills and Qualifications
Are you familiar with large data stores? Do you know how to get data in or take data out? Sometimes data needs to be changed or transformed into a different format in order to properly analyze it. Can you make it work? You may know this work as ETL or just Scripting. You will also be responsible for integrating data processing with the architecture used across the company.
REST APIs, JSON, JavaScript, SQL, MapReduce, Python, R or Java are not just foreign words for you? Or maybe you've even experimented with Hortonworks, Microsoft Azure, or Web Data Connectors in Tableau?
Ideally you would have a proven record of projects where you worked with any of the above mentioned technologies.
