Change and Release Specialist #
Munich, Germany

Duration: 3-6 months
Role
We have a contract opportunity available for an experienced Change and Release Specialist to work on a project for our client in Munich, Germany.
Objective:
- To manage the change & release management process
- Provide oversight all deployments of code for application into UAT and Production environments
- Provide oversight for all infrastructure deployments into the production environments
- To manage and support all application releases either personally or using third party vendors
Tasks:
- Run local Change Advisory Board (CAB)
- Manage change process & forward schedule of change
- Liaise with external vendors & local support teams
- Gain understanding of local applications & infrastructure
- Approve changes in a timely manner
- Maintain release schedule and ensure release calendar is kept up to date
- Tracking quality and communicating release status to external teams
- Oversee and input into CAB
- Definition, documentation, implementation and automation of release processes
- End User Communications
Required skills/experience:
- ITIL Framework
- IT Applications & Infrastructure
- ITIL Foundation qualified
- Corporate and/or financial background
- Team worker, self motivated, good people skills
- Proactive and assertive work ethic
- Good all around knowledge of IT
- Good analytic and investigative skills
- Ability to prioritise and work calmly in a sometimes volatile environment
- Good understanding of priorities and requirements in difficult situations
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to tailor communication to the intended audience
- German language and English
Contract
