Senior Biostatistician - Freiburg (or home-based within Germany) - €90 per hourOptimus Search are working with a global CRO who are looking for 3 new contractors, ideal applicants will have proven industry experience and a strong understanding of advanced statistical methodologies.
Although the first month of this contract will be based on-site; the remaining duration can be based remotely, the costs of the initial travel and board will be covered by the company.

Tasks
- Perform the evaluation of clinical trials from phase I up to phase IV.
- Work closely with physicians, data managers and programmers in study teams.
- Provide consultation on study design, statistical research, requirements and scientific standards.
- Deal with enquiries and requirements of public authorities.
- Work on the design and review of study protocols including sample size calculations and randomization.
- Write statistical analysis plans and reporting specifications.
- Perform the statistical analysis and prepare statistical reports.
- Participate in writing integrated reports and scientific publications.
- Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
- The applicant is expected to have an MSc or PhD in statistics or mathematics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of biostatistics and a familiarity with SAS.
- 3 - 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry or at a CRO.
- Knowledge of and experience in early clinical development and Bayesian methods is advantageous.
- Must be fluent in English language with very strong German skills.
