Darwin Recruitment are urgently searching for an OSS Engineer for one of our key clients based in Germany.
Job Description
The OSS Technical Support Engineer is responsible for 3rd Level support, maintenance and
operation of customer OSS element management Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- 3rd level Incident Management for OSS EMS Systems in Mobile
- Configuration of the OSS EMS Systems in Mobile platforms, mainly but not limited to new LTE OSS
systems
- Customer Requirements Management
- Collect and assess requirements (from super users, users, business owner of the application) and
support RFQ to vendor when applicable
- Establish contact with vendors
- Handle Change Requests (CR) and patch fixes (priority and ordering)
- Provide "Expert Operation knowledge"
- Provide operational documentation
- Ensuring of system and data availability
- Windows, UNIX and database administration
Experience and Skills required
- At minimum 2 years in system administration in at least one of the following EMS systems: Ericsson OSS RC; NSN Netact or ZTE Netnumen
- Experience in other EMS systems is an advantage
- Degree/Diploma, related to telecommunications, electronics, informatics or equivalent relevant
experience
- Proofed experience in a support environment
- At least 5 years System Administration experience in environments with Windows
Server, UNIX (Linux and Solaris), Citrix and databases.
- Analytical mind with good problem solving skills and able to work independently and under stress.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
