Beschreibung

The EPO requires 1 FTE of solution architecture services to support activities and provide advice in the SharePoint Infrastructure area.

Required qualifications of the Contractor's staff

The Contractors' staff shall be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following areas:

- have a long and broad experience with all SharePoint aspects and related products

- knowledge of SharePoint 2016 and Office365

- bring industry practices and disciplines

- knowledge of Azure Continuity Service

- being familiar with SharePoint developments would be an asset

- being highly motivated, pro-active and service oriented

- outstanding written and oral communication skills

- ability to work with people of different cultures and in remote locations

Being active in a multi-cultural environment, the Contractors staff shall have a very good level of English. The knowledge of other EPO official languages (German and French) will be appreciated.

SharePoint infrastructure

The EPO is providing two infrastructures for SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013. It contains 260 sites collections (61 % in SharePoint 2013) giving access to 1.2 million of documents.

Requested work: tasks and deliverables:

1. Support and advice the solution architect contributing to the end-to-end definition of the solution across all architecture layers: business, information, application, and infrastructure.

2. Structure and complete business demand from an architecture perspective, and translate the demand into a viable, feasible, durable, and compliant solution architecture that can be delivered to budget, on time and to the required quality

3. Responsible for the production of the documentation for the projects, integrating all architecture layers.

4. Provide functional leadership and direction for other architects in the projects. Give advice and support to internal solution architects having less experience in the function.

5. Support the project managers/technical project managers in delivering a solution that adhere to the principles, policies and patterns established in the enterprise architecture.

6. Contribute where appropriate to the overall enterprise architecture through the delivery of solutions, solution architectures and models and proposing design patterns, principles, models, requirements, standards and policies to EA and/or security. Provide input to the Project Scope Architecture document.

7. Propose solution alternatives to business automation needs that are not supported by standard solutions, presenting the merits and disadvantages of each. Write the technical specifications for the customisation or application development based on the product descriptions and the business requirements.

8. Design, and support coding, test, correct and document customisations and developments.

9. Perform Architecture reviews to verify that the solution to the business problem is integral and will deliver the required functional and non-functional requirements in line with stated architecture direction.

10. Consistently apply principles that guide solution decisions for business change and infrastructure projects, in collaboration with other solution architects and under the guidance of the Enterprise Architecture & Innovation directorate.

11. Determine the potential impact of industry and market trends in the respective area, and make recommendations for changes and improvements.

12. Develop Proofs of Concept as proposals to answer Architecture concerns.

13. Manage Non-Functional Requirements to support the business requirements and being accountable for the system to comply with those requirements.

14. Take ownership of required architecture governance deliverables and deliver results against respective timelines.
