Beschreibung
Technical skills of both positions:
- NAS/SAN-storage - mainly NetApp CDOT and 7-Mode but also HPE StoreServ 3PAR (at least NetApp is a must but they should be experienced in SAN-storage eg EMC, IBM or HDS)
- SAN - Brocade based SAN
- skills in backup product Commvault Simpana would be a plus
- German speaking is required
Operational skills
- ITIL experienced
- on-call-duty (1 week per month)
Job characteristics:
- takes over leadership and full responsibility for the DC EMEA storage team located in Hamburg
- manages day-to-day administration support of SAN, storage and backup infrastructure
- makes sure to set clear vision and targets for all team members and know how to engage them the best possible way
- is responsible for availability, stability and scalability of the systems
- drives further development of SAN- and storage infrastructures and push new ideas and be part of the architecture team
- researches new technologies and products related to storage and backup
- improves continuously operational processes
- fosters collaboration with other IT teams
- provides occasional 24/7 support (support weekly on-call duties and monthly change days)
Qualifications:
- university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related engineering fields or highly qualifying job experience
- expert knowledge in storage and backup infrastructures (NAS, SAN) and knowledge in virtualization technologies
- proven leadership qualities
- excellent analytical skills, organizational, time management, and problem solving skills
- extraordinary commitment, drive for innovation and creativity
- enthusiasm and ability to mentor team members
- exceptional interpersonal skills and entrepreneurial personality
- experience in working in an ITIL based organization; preferably ITIL Foundation Level certified
- fluent language skills in German and preferably in English as well
