A large Berlin based media company, who have offices across the world, are searching for a Back End developer to join one of their established teams in the heart of Berlin developing the latest application for an online newspaper.
This is a high traffic platform with millions of monthly active users and downloaders and it is planned to be built using only the latest most interesting technologies.
The skills required for this position are:
- Substantial programming experience in Java
- Working experience with frameworks such as Spring or Play
- Experience with Search tools such as Lucene and ElasticSearch or Solr
- Solid experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Fluent English (German would be nice)
Bonus skills are:
- Experience with RxJava
- Hands on experience with high traffic platforms
- Amazon Web Services
The initial contract for this project will be 3 months but there is a high chance it will get extended from 6-12 months.
