As a member of the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence (DW/BI) Development team in Global Platforms BI &Big Data, you will leverage your DW/DW experience and expertise to support the development of shared solutions
to the Allianz entities worldwide. Duties include: DW/BI technical design, programming and testing; partner
with our offshore development team; authoring technical, user and operations documentation; actively
communicating and interact with all stakeholders, namely business analysts, architecture, data security
authority, platform engineering, operations teams, feeding systems teams and external like SW Vendors; and
perform other task as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with the business analysts to fully understand the business requirements and assure that the project
deliverables are fulfilling these
- Assist in determining time and cost estimates for assigned projects
- Develop technical specifications for projects
- Prepare test cases and strategies for unit testing and integration testing
- Develop new DW/BI solutions or make enhancements according to project needs
- Perform code reviews to identify basic technical and logical errors
- Plan, coordinate and execute project activities to ensure timely completion
Further responsibilities
- Act as 3rd level support in the operations of DW/BI solutions under GAP responsibility
- Actively drive standardization and optimization of software development
- Leverage of offshore development teams
- Develop best practices to improve productivity and utilize programming principles, tools, and
- techniques to write solution codes
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
Academic background
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field
- At least 7 years’ experience in DW/BI development in an enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of SAS programming/macros and tools (DIS, WRS, OLAP, Information Maps, EG, Visual
Analytics)
- Strong understanding of SAS anatomy/tiers and deployment (Metadata, Compute, Middle, Data and Client Tiers)
- Strong understanding of Oracle database and PL/SQL
- Strong experience in working with Business Analysts or Business Customers for requirements definition and
transforming these into technical design
- Experience in agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM)

- Experience in the Insurance Industry
- Fluent English written and spoken; German language skills are a plus
