Task:Goetzfried Professionals GmbH is a consulting and supporting partner in the IT and engineering field for numerous companies of all sizes as well as from different industrial and economic sectors. Their expertise includes the conception, planning and realization of IT as well as engineering projects, further complex managed services and solutions. Therefore, Goetzfried Professionals GmbH places their employed IT experts and engineers to the disposal of their clients in order to realize their projects. In alliance with Goetzfried AG and the Allgeier Group Goetzfried Professionals is a competent, high-performance and constantly growing IT-, Engineering and Staffing Service Company.
Currently we are looking for a new member of our team of experts in order to accept an assignment as Solaris Expert (f/m) in Frankfurt/Main including the following area of responsibility:
- Provide 3rd level support for operational FAME infrastructure
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve system problems using available tools and referring to external suppliers if required
- Develop FAME infrastructure harvesting best practises
- Document installation and operational procedures for deployment by Data Centre Operations
- Plan, prepare and document maintenance activities such as software upgrades and patching
- Contribute to the development of IT solutions in production, planned changes, assisting Data Centre Operations in roll-out and post implementation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation related to the FAME infrastructure; transfer knowledge to colleagues
- On-call duties possible
Requirements (Must have):
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information system security or related disciplines
- At least 10 years of relevant experience
- Expert in engineering, design, support, administration and maintenance of mission critical production Linux and Solaris server systems (Solaris shall include at least Solaris 10) as well as Solaris virtualization technologies
-Knowledge of Oracle VM for SPARC (LDOMS) and Solaris Zones
- Expert in engineering, design, support, administration and maintenance of mission critical production Solaris Cluster systems (Solaris Cluster includes at least Solaris 3.X family of products)
- Experience with Volume Managers for HA Solaris deployments (SVM and ZFS)
- A good command of English with proven drafting ability
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of shell scripting in Unix in at least one language (e.g. Bash, Korn, or PERL).
- Experience with Solaris 11.X, Solaris Cluster 4.X, Software Integration
- Knowledge of software packaging in Solaris environments (at least Solaris 10 System V package format), relational databases (e.g. ORACLE), Apache Tomcat
