Security Engineer - Encryption
Are you a security specialist engineer? Do you have an interest in encryption and cryptographic key management?
Type: Contract (9 Months)
Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Salary: €700 Per Day
A major financial organisation based in Frankfurt is working on a central system which will be used for the encryption of sensitive data at rest.
Theo objective of this role is to support the work on bringing this system in the bank from engineering side, writing solution concepts for given business requirements, integration, deployment and test on the organisation's platforms. Intensive communication with the vendor will be required and operations manuals must be created and kept up to date.
Skills and experience required for the Security Engineer - Encryption include (but are not limited to):
- Have very good knowledge in cryptographic key management, digital certificates, trust management
- Have networking, access control, ArcSight Integration, LDAP knowledge
- Knowledge about hardware security modules is a plus
- Be familiar with change management and deployment processes in large IT organizations
- Be familiar with the design and implementation of distributed architectures
- Be familiar with Waterfall based project approaches and distributed project environments
- Have experience with UNIX/Linux, Windows
- English speaking
Responsibilities for the Security Engineer - Encryption will include (but not limited to):
The system engineer is expected to support the different project phases by means of:
- Defining solution low level design and creating technical specifications
- Reviewing, validating and refining infrastructure requirements
- Integration of the system with the bank's privileged management, single sign on and monitoring tools
- Building and deploying the application into controlled environments
- Supporting the change management and the deployment process for the application
- Providing and updating the application run book and operations manuals
- Support test activities on a technical level (eg Preparing test cases)
