Big Data Solutions Architect - Big Data, Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, Java, PIG, Storm, Hive, NoSQL
Darwin Recruitment are currently hiring for a Big Data Solutions Architect for a leading Digital Advertisement client in Berlin.
You will be responsible for managing the full life cycle of the big data software stack, which includes creating the requirements analysis, the platform selection, design of the technical architecture and the development.
Skills
- Excellent analytical & conceptual skills and integral way of thinking
- Experience with the major big data solutions like Hadoop, MapReduce, PIG, Hive, Apache Storm, Apache Spark, BDAS etc.
- Full life cycle development experience building high performance/low latency architectures
- Excellent skills in Enterprise Java Backend Systems
- Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals from data structures and algorithms to high-level design patterns
- Very good spoken and written English, ideally also German
- Keen to analyse architecture and software design in terms of scalability, testability and maintenance as well as develop optimization recommendations
- Knowledge of data storage/access: NonSQL DBs, such as, MongoDB, CouchBase Cassandra, Redis, Graph-DBs; SQL DBs such as MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of Cluster/Resource Management via one or more of - Mesos, Hadoop Yarn
- Knowledge of stream/batch processing via one or more of Apache Storm, Apache Spark
- Knowledge of messaging/data-transport via one or more Kafka, Apache Flume
