The customer has purchased the Informatica Data Quality and PowerCenter applications, which will be installed and configured by Informatica Profession Services during April and May 2016.
Following the completion of this Implementation Phase, Corporate MDM will immediately start with the Deployment Phase, using a system integration company (referred to as the Provider) to support the delivery of reports, quality controls and automated KPIs for projects in the domain of material data management. This will included the full product life cycle in SAP and in the ITEMe (the customers PIM system)
A single client SAP ECC6 is used for all manufacturing sites and nearly all sales subsidiaries, with datacentres based in France and Germany.
SAP material management is decentralized, managed with an internally developed MLM system, used across all business functions. Standard material tables have fields added to manage production plant, sales price data and statistics. Several tables are used with the MLM application to manage sales, MRP, intercompany trading and controlling views in the material master.
Following SAP basic data management, material references, descriptions and trade prices are exported to a PIM system known as ITEMe, managed through an HTML user interface, using an Oracle database.
Deliverables for the first phase of the deployment, to be completed in 2016 are in the domain of material master data and are in summary:
1. Build and deploy the data management practice and skills across the company.
2. Management and operational reporting in reference to HPLP, the customers Product Lifecycle Process, which defines in detail, to the field level, the operational responsibilities and management accountabilities in SAP and the customers ITEMe PIM system.
3. Data quality KPIs for the material management process in ITEMe and SAP, using flat files exported from ITEMe and SAP material tables copied to the staging area of the Informatica Oracle database.
4. Workflow for the publication of KPIs to appropriate personnel within the RASCI organizational Matrix, with email content or links to dashboard reporting in the customers Business Objects reporting tool.
5. Workflow to support the remediation in SAP material master and ITEMe; workflow related to a complex organizational Matrix in reference to the business unit, data source and RASCI definitions.
6. Support data governance for the business stakeholders and executives.
