Professional Project Manager – Application Migration Lead on IAM Deployment Project
Description: As part of transitioning External Business Partner Accounts and all used Applications to a new common, global Identity and Access Management (IAM) Platform, the application migration workstream ensures a smooth migration of User Identities, Accounts & Entitlements, as well as related processes and roles from the current to the new platform.
Background:
Roche is transitioning it’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) services for IT to a new common global platform. One of several projects is realizing this transition for the scope of External Business Partner and all applications used for collaboration in this space. The Common Identity Management (CIDM) for ExBP project has been mandated to migrate all External Business Partner Identities and Accounts as well as access profiles relating to several hundred applications from the old to the new platform in two waves, originating from two main legacy environments.
Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to plan, prepare and execute, —the deployment of new/adapted IAM processes and —the application, user account and profile migrations for wave 2, in close collaboration with the owners of all impacted applications and owners of the External Business Partnerships, the business process owner, various other project functions, such as BA, OCM or Engineering, as well as the current and future support and operations organizations. A standard repeatable migration planning and execution process must be defined and a “migration factory” with all required controls set-up. This position reports directly to the CIDM for ExBP Project Manager.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
-Leverage and expand the wave 1 established processes to make them fit for wave 2 -Collaborate with Business Analysts and OCM leads to manage the application scope, application owners liaisons, ExBP business process teams and technical, i.e. system engineering teams -Analyze the migration scope of wave 2 and define the adequate migration strategy and methods -Define the migration planning and preparation process to be applied (including any preparation and changes that will happen at the application team side and coordinate the related communication & collaboration with the OCM representative) -Define and establish a standard, repeatable migration service and supporting migration “factory”
-Establish the process and means for scheduling and executing all migrations, including monitoring and reporting progress, managing/resolving issues throughout migration execution -Plan, forecast and monitor required resources and timelines -Act as an integrated member of a global project team -Establish and maintain a strong liaison with target system support and operations organizations to successfully plan and execute migrations and handover to operations -Create and maintain detailed activity plans and regularly report status/progress; support the management of dependencies to other project streams and deliverables -Manage stream documentation as required by quality standards -Take part in the project’s RAID management and escalation processes
Qualifications (Must Haves):
-5+ years of relevant experience as an IT Project Manager using structured project management processes and working with globally distributed teams
-Project Management certification (PMP or similar)
-Strong stakeholder management skills
-Structured approach, problem-solving, flexible and self-directed with analytical skills
-Excellent English language skills
-Experience with projects of similar nature and scale
-High proficiency in working in virtual teams and across time zones is a must
Nice to Haves:
+++ Former Roche experience (ideally having worked together with one or more business functions and IT in the past)
++ Experience with IAM projects
++ Experience with global deployment projects confronted with diverse business priorities
+ CSV background and experience in working with IT Quality and compliance aspects
