Task:· Act as project manager in project “Statistical Process Control solution for Integrated Circuits business – pilot deployment in Shizuoka Technical Center, Japan, coordinate external provider, support RfP process
· Manage business expectations with focus on scope management, support project delivery in quality, schedule and budget.
· Bridge the communication between local key user team in Japan, business project manager in US and global teams located in Darmstadt, Germany.
Requirements (Must have):
· Fluent in English, able to run all communication in English and able to communicate with Japanese stakeholders in oral and writing.
· Japanes Language a big plus, familiar with Japanese culture, being able to play the role as trusted advisor to Business and BT.
· Solid knowledge about quality processes in specialty chemicals manufacturing with focus on Statistical Process Control.
· Solid foundation in project management methodology (PMP certification)
· At least 5 years of experience in project management for IT projects in manufacturing quality domain.
· Solid IT knowledge with focus on quality control supporting applications.
· Good communication skills especially with business stakeholders, team orientation
· Document management based on MS SharePoint, MS Office incl. MS Project
· Willingness to travel / show significant exposure at Shizuoka site (Japan).
Nice to have:
· Familiar with Merck’s SDLC IT project governance process
· Experienced in SAP ERP modules PP and QM
· Certified in Six Sigma methodology
· Experienced in MES / MI suites like Schneider-Electric Wonderware
· Experience in process control systems technology
Environment/Miscellaneous:
At least 2 days / week during RfP process
With start of implementation project Aug / Sep 2016 3 – 4 days / week
On-site Support (in Percentage): 70%
Remote Support (in Percentage): 30%
More than 50% of projects days on site in Japan
