Job Title: Transformation Programme Design Authority/Business Architect (Bi-Lingual German and English speaking)

Purpose of role
We are looking for a Design Authority/Business Architect to play a key role in delivery of client Transformation Programmes. You will bring experience of delivering improvements to customer experience, and process efficiency.
The programmes we deliver are some of the most complex in Europe and often include whole organisation transformation. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary transformation team with both client side and delivery capability.
As Design Authority and Business Architect you will lead business transformation by aligning business strategy to the target operating model and supporting the delivery of operational solutions. Our programmes include the design and delivery of innovative operating models. You will engage with board level representatives, senior client staff and delivery teams. You will work with programme and technical specialists to support the delivery of transition and transformation programmes and associated benefits.
Key Accountabilities
- Analyse the market/environment in which an organisation operates
- Manage effective handover of the solution from a bid phase into delivery
- Quickly understand & assess a client's current business architecture/operating model
- Develop, communicate and maintain the overall business architecture
- Lead strategy and operating model design to define the detailed organisational vision
- Develop delivery model options (including alternative delivery models), establish the criteria to evaluate the options and choose the preferred delivery model
- Manage a wide set of stakeholders to reconcile conflicting business requirements
- Create graphical views of business strategies and business models to facilitate decisions
- Develop and communicate strategy, operating, process and organisational models
- Work with operational and IT specialists to define operational and IT solution requirements
- Construct business-level artefacts to raise the level of understanding of how an organisation works (in terms of capabilities and processes)
- Develop and present the Case for Action' and routemap for future business and technology change
- Lead the Design Authority on behalf of the business to ensure overall solution design aligns to the business architecture and change is managed through to benefit realisation.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Broad base consultancy experience covering a range of business analysis, organisation design and technology solution development so that you can provide a whole solution view
- Experience of designing business and operating models for major organisations
- Strategy development using techniques like PESTLE, SWOT, horizon scanning, competitor analysis, customer needs analysis, disruptive forces/innovation, waves of change, etc.
- Strategic problem solving & innovative thinking to shape complex business solutions
- Ability to present complex information to senior stakeholders in a succinct manner
- Proven writing skills and excellent presentation skills
- Strong influencing, engagement and communications skills up to board level
- An ability to visualise solutions from concept to implementation
- Engagement Delivery experience, for example as the lead consultant on a project
- Solution design, delivery planning & commercial awareness during bids and engagements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
Useful Skills and Experience:
- Experience of influence and leadership in large scale transformation programmes
- Awareness of change management and the impact on people/behaviours/capabilities/culture dimensions of the operating model
- Awareness of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (eg TOGAF)
- Experience of at least one recognised business architecture tool (eg EA, ABACUS) and other tools & methods (eg Business Model Canvas)
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle
- Experience of the identification, evaluation and delivery of tangible business benefits
- Security Clearance would be beneficial for some engagements
