The Web Application Coordinator is responsible for handling all testing activities with the assigned business partner for the web-based applications (migration IE10 to IE11) inside the Win10+ project.
Background:
Roche has launched the project for the global Windows 10 migration and is seeking support for the project initiation and define phase. Extension of the role past these phases desired if candidate is a good fit.
The following items will be upgraded:
Windows 7 to Windows 10
Internet Explorer 10 to Internet Explorer 11
Microsoft Office 2010 to Microsoft Office 2016
This translates to an impact on Roche and Genentech globally (all sites and business functions). Furthermore the project is expected to have many dependencies to other business and IT endeavours that need to be identified and managed accordingly.
Within the project the Application Readiness Workstream is handling all business application-related topics around the migrations. It consisting of packaged and web applications compatibility testing and remediation support as well as support for locally installed and MS Office application readiness assessment.

Web Application Coordinator inside the Application Readiness Workstream for global Windows 10 migration project
Purpose:
Candidate is to manage the data analysis (which is also part of a quality gate), build reporting services and represent app based requirements within the client release process of the Windows 10 project.
The role is to cover the following aspects of the Application Readiness Workstream:
High-level test coordination of all web-based application from IE10 to IE11
Master Data validation and classification as basis for planning the migration process (CSV experience is not mandatory, but GxP would be a really nice to have – the candidate should ideally have experience with big data and data repositories)
Liaison with Portfolio and Release Manager for Windows client requirements and problems
It is expected from the candidate that the data quality for the assigned applications are valid, accurate and up to date. Candidate is able to prioritise, based on criticality of applications the business critical software has to be migrated first.
During Initiate and Define phase, candidate is expected to support the Web App process for migration and for the delivery of the test plan for the assigned applications in cooperation with the Change Director and Business Application Owner. The Candidate will work closely with the Web Application team lead, Change Director and Business Application Owner.
During the Testing phase, the candidate acts as single point of contact for the assigned applications.
Working language is English. High proficiency in working virtually is a must.
Remote work an option up to 20%, prior approval required.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
Follow up remediation efforts
Liaison with the Portfolio and Release Manager for Windows client requirements and problems
Engage project technical team and release manager as required
Follow up issues involving the required resource within the project and the business partner
Help ensure the virtual environments are properly assigned to the respective application owners in order to support their testing efforts. Work closely with APM (Application Provisioning Management) and RSCs (Regional Support Center) for support.
Contribute to the communications regarding testing and remediation
Help managing the Project Stream mailbox (review, assign, label e-mails as required)
Identify the need of test clearance statements and ensure they are delivered. Follow up with the Quality team.
Ensure ACT tool (Web App repository) is updated with testing and application information
Ensure the testing is executed in the planned timelines
Qualifications:
5 years’ experience in coordinating projects
Experience in migration/deployment projects (e.g. rollout projects), ideally in the app readiness area
Very good communication skills
Independent, organised, used to work without direct supervision, with people skills and if possible technical background
Able to create a fast working relationship with the change director, application owners and the engineering team.
Technical background supporting a global rollout of an OS, tool or similar
ITIL Foundation certification or relevant experience in Service Management
Experience in virtual, international team settings
Business-fluid in English, both verbally and in writing
Solid sharepoint knowledge
Nice to Have
+++ Background in application testing, ideally test management esp. for migration readiness
+++ GxP experience
++ Web development knowledge, strong windows 7 or 10 skills
+ Previous Roche experience
+ German, Spanish
Travel might be required (San Francisco or within Europe)
