C++/Python Developer Qualifications/Required Skills
Job-related:
Very good knowledge in C++ and Python
Very good knowledge in object-oriented and concurrent programming
Good knowledge of development and Scripting under Linux
Knowledge in network programming
Basic knowledge in Java is useful
Experience with Model Driven Software Development is beneficial
Good familiarity with SQL and MySQL or similar databases is helpful
Good overview and knowledge of open source software is useful
Interest in low-latency architectures is beneficial.
General:
Experience of software development in large projects
Ability to work in an international project team
Good oral and written communications skills
A good command of English is a must, German welcome.
Critical thinking, the ability to identify problems and propose solutions
An interest or background in financial markets, derivatives or cash trading is appreciated
Tasks/Responsibilities
The software engineer will work in the architecture development team; tasks include:
- Design and Implementation within the core trading area and its low-latency architecture,
- Ensuring source code quality by unit tests and reviews,
- Documentation and presentation of design, implementation and test results,
- Analysis of problems identified during software development, in various test stages, simulation and production,
- Ability to exchange Ideas with other developers and teams,
- Performance and latency analysis; respective tests and implementation of required changes,
- Support during Specification and Requirement-gathering phases for technical feasibility and impact analysis.
