Our client, an international financial services holding company is looking to hire an experienced German Systems Analyst for their team.
The Role:
Our client requires a Technical Analyst contractor to work on I.S. projects. This individual will work with the I.S. teams based in Germany and Ireland, and also with the company's Partners and Brokers based in Germany.
The successful candidate will be assigned to work under the direction of the Lead Analyst based in Frankfurt area in Germany. As a team member he/she will be expected to work effectively with other team members such as Systems and QA Analysts, Project Managers and Software Developers.
The Technical Analyst will be expected to apply the company approved methodologies and standards in delivering recommendations that are compliant with Portfolio and Enterprise Architecture direction.
The successful candidate will be expected to work on programmes/projects across Germany and possibly Ireland. The successful candidate is also required to be fluent in German and English
The Person:
The main Duties and Responsibilities included in this role:
- Technical support for the 3rd party Partner network Account creation and maintenance, Technical Communication and troubleshooting
- Become familiar with BiPRO XML model and propose/implement changes as required to this model. Create and update technical specification documents for internal use
- Create and update technical documentation for external business partners
- Elicit, understand and clarify the requirements of the business stakeholders
- Translate requirements into business and functional specifications
Role Description:
- Work collaboratively with the Lead Analyst based in Germany
- Work with Systems Architects/Analysts to determine potential solutions and test them for both technical and business compatibility
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 3rd level education preferably in a technical discipline or equivalent technical experience
- Fluent English
- Fluent German
- Knowledge of XML and XSD
- Knowledge of Datamodelling and data formats
- Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in IT., with at least 3 years as a Technical Analyst in a large corporate environment with multiple business applications
- Experience working as a Technical Analyst in Germany, ideally within the insurance industry, or a large multinational environment
- Experienced in detailed analysis techniques with the ability to translate into comprehensive documentation which can be understood by Business stakeholders and I.S. alike
- Experienced in producing high quality documentation and guiding this through revisions and sign-off by the business
- Good understanding of systems infrastructure, platforms, databases, networks and security
- Ability to plan, test, implement, and troubleshoot systems software
- Ability to analyse situations and make solid decisions, using good judgment
- Experience working with recognised application/service delivery processes and methodology
- Excellent communication skills
- Self- motivated with a positive and flexible attitude

- Ability to set and work to strict project deadlines
- Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience in electronic data exchange
- Experience in at least one programming languages with the ability to write pseudo code
- Good knowledge in Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Experienced working with Microsoft Windows 7
- Experience working with flowcharting tools such as MS Visio
- Experience working on eBusiness, Web Application and Web Services projects & programmes
- Good understanding of insurance business practices and processes and a good appreciation of the business implications of I.S. decisions
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Be educated to technical degree level, or equivalent experience
- Fluent in German and English
- Have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Have at least 8 years industry experience with at least 3 years as a Technical Analyst Have experience working in multi-cultural/multinational structures
- Have experience with XML, XSD, Adobe Acrobat Pro, MS Office Suite
- Be a dynamic individual who is a motivated self-starter and excellent team player
- Have professional communication skills with a can do attitude
