A Renewable Energy client is looking for a freelance contractor/Freiberufler to complete a Test Project Site & Offshore Manager role focussing on its Offshore Wind farm in the Baltic Sea. This role will be based in Hamburg predominately, with visits to the manufacturing facilities in Denmark and the Marine Construction base too. The role is to start ASAP, and will initially be focused on Prototype Assembly Onshore (PAO) Test Project and Site Management' until September 2016. This will then move to Interim Offshore Manager/Offshore Coordinator'.Responsibilities
The aims of the Test Project Site Manager will be to plan, execute, and lead the Prototype Assembly Onshore (PAO) test from beginning to the end of the sub-project, taking care of HSSE issues, as well as QA/QC measures during construction, tests, and deconstruction of the PAO. The Site Manager will also prepared and support documentation of method statements, risk assessments, daily reports, and NCR reports.
The aims of the Interim Offshore Manager are to develop and lead all needed tasks required to secure the Maintenance and Operation of all installed offshore structures after installation until close of project, and support in this respect all related Work packages in regards of time, cost, safety, quality and interfaces. The Offshore Manager will set-up the plan and schedule for continuous maintenance of offshore structures according to needs; set-up the documentation of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities for verification and handover to Operations; and coordinate and support of all planned activities with all involved work packages (ie Foundation, Logistics, WTG) and stakeholders. The Offshore Manager will support and active participation in contract negotiations of needed services; complete specification of needed logistics' equipment (ie Crew transfer vessels CTVs) and manpower for Offshore works; and complete daily planning and management of on-going activities on offshore construction site.
Job requirements:
- At least 5 years' Experience in Project Management supervising Construction projects
- Engineer or according experience
- Good maritime knowledge
- Extensive experience in planning and construction of Offshore Wind Farms
- Excellent skills of written and spoken German and English language
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Experience in organisation of maintenance regimes
- Structured thinking, development of methods and procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Very good communication skills
- Valid offshore survival (G41, Rescue from heights, etc.) & medical certificate
- University degree
- Good skills in MS Office
- Driving License
- Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel etc.)
