As the Solution Architect within the Technology Centre you will translate the requirements on m2m Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) functionality into the architecture and a solution description. You will closely cooperate with the technical experts and support them in the overall project.
As a Solution Architect in Technology Centre your main responsibilities will involve:
• Requirements description on components (eUICC, SM-DP, SM-SR) of VF Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) architecture
• Responsible for functional and technical analysis and specification, for platform-specific architecture, integration and performance test for all platforms in scope. Responsible for Feasibility Analysis and effort and cost estimates and Architecture & Design.
• Set-up and validation of RSP Use Case
• Manages the technical skill for high level architecture design and planning – producing High Level Designs
• Analyses requirements to ensure that they are clearly defined before designs commence.
• Collaborate with new platforms architecture design and roadmap. Ensure that developments meet architecture standards and strategy
• Manage approval of feasibility designs with stakeholders including Operating Company technical leads, Global Architecture, Demand and Integration Management and Global Fraud & Security. Ensure that all high-level design solutions meet all technical and business requirements. Ensure the solutions are practical in terms of Design, Development, Test, Operations and Maintenance
• Assessment of Suppliers RSP solutions and GSMA standardization
• RFQ preparation and selection of the most appropriate solution
• Support on supplier & project management
As Solution Architect your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
• SIM architecture and SIM provisioning know how preferable
• 3-5 years’ experience in delivering technical solution paper and management presentations
• At least 5 years’ experience in design/architecture in a telecommunications environment.
• Proactively and effectively operate in a rapid growth/ high change environment
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to motivate others and work cooperatively in a group to achieve common goals
• Ability to professionally persuade, influence and negotiate in critical situations
• Good organizational and time-management skills: ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and projects

• Additional external experience in data related applications an advantage.
• Detailed understanding of the mobile telecommunications industry, particularly the new data services market.
• Expert knowledge of web systems and components: web servers, application servers, databases, transactional systems, content management systems, operating systems, Java J2EE, EJB, JMS, WML, HTML, XML, Solaris and Oracle. Expert knowledge of Internet and enterprise communication protocols.
• Management experience (matrix or direct) within large global organizations; at least 2 years in total and at least 1 year managing international teams in technical / Product Development functions.
• Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) in English
• Distinct analytics skill, ability to translate complex ideas into simple concepts and influence senior management.
• Ability to interact with both commercial and technical teams with ability to translate business ideas/concepts into clear architecture and design upon which the technical teams can execute.
• A self-starter with high levels of self-motivation, energy and initiative
• A high level understanding of most major IT systems that support a Mobile Network.
• A high level understanding of how a mobile network works including GSM, GPRS and UMTS knowledge. (Detailed knowledge of the air interface or signalling is NOT required.)
