For our client, a leading European commercial bank in Frankfurt, we are currently hiring a Proxy and Web Server Expert (f/m)

Length of the contract: 24 Months with possibility of extension
Task description:
*Provide 3rd level support for operational web Servers and Proxy Servers on Solaris, Linux and Windows platforms; identify any need for preventive or remedial maintenance throughout the use of diagnostic tools
*Participate in the definition of concepts and design of the company's website and Proxy infrastructure including high availability and contingency solutions; development of the company's Website and Proxy infrastructure harvesting best practise and tailoring to specific requirements; documenting installation and operational procedures for deployment by Data Centre Operations
*Plan, prepare and document maintenance activities such as software upgrades and patching
*Advice projects on best practise and infrastructural standards for interfacing with the company's website and Proxy services
*Contribute to the development of IT solutions in production by advising on the impact of planned changes, assisting Data Centre Operations in roll-out and post implementation
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation related to the website and Proxy services
*Participate in the design and preparation of recovery and contingency exercises to ensure that Data Centre Operations can recover systems in accordance with predefined plans and Documentation
Your profile:
*Engineering and design experience
*Experience with engineering, design, support, administration and maintenance of mission critical production Solaris or Linux server systems
*Experience with engineering, design, support, administration and maintenance of mission critical production Apache web Servers and Proxy Servers (Squid or McAfee Web Gateway), including log analysis, problem solving, performance tuning and capacity planning
*In depth knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, Proxy Infrastructure (HTTP and SOCKS) and Apache HTTPD
*Experience with Scripting languages
*A fair understanding of key concepts relevant for web and Proxy Servers: SSH forwarding, SSL/TLS (key exchange protocols, MAC, authentication and crypto suites), Network traffic analysis (traffic capture and troubleshooting), Load balancing technologies, Browser authentication protocols, DNS
*On-call duties possible
*Good command of English with proven drafting ability
