Security Services Windows
Primary tasks and responsibilities:
• Security monitoring, security assessments, security maintenance
• Security Scanning of host systems + analysing potential risk
• Reporting of security risks identified
• Continuous improvement of security processes
• Assessment of network security architectures
• Administration, monitoring and maintenance of the companies SIM implementation and coordination of Central Management for Firewalls and NIDS
• Potential Security Incident Analysis
• Detection of security weaknesses in configurations and network design
Technical requirements:
• An in-depth insight into and practical experience with many technologies and allocated systems: firewalls (PIX), VPN (Nortel/Cisco), routers (Cisco) , switches (Cisco) NIDS (Cisco/ SNORT), Windows
• Understanding of IP protocols (wired and wireless) and security weaknesses in these protocols
or their implementations
• Assessment of network security architectures
• Administration, monitoring and maintenance of the companies SIM implementation and Central Management for Firewalls and NIDS
• Practical experience with scripting
• Experience using Remote Vulnerability Scanners / Network Auditing Tools
• Knowledge of basic Host Security Settings on Microsoft Windows
• Technical writing skills to write the proper documentation according to internal regulations
Methodology/Certification requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science OR equivalent through experience.
• Advanced course work in technical systems plus continued education in technical disciplines is preferred
• Additional certification is a plus
