Unix Administrator - Unix, SANs, Java Web Application Server, Solaris, Perl/Shell Scripting - Berlin
Square one are currently recruiting for an Unix Administrator to come on board for a 6 month contract with a Global organisation based in Berlin.
Necessary Skills & Experience:-
- Systems administrator/engineer in a commercial environment, dealing with business critical, high availability systems.
- Experience with Java web application Servers and related technologies (GlassFish, Sun Application Server, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, SQUID).
- Solaris 10 (Zones, ZFS, resource management)
- x86 and SPARC hardware.
- Sun Clusters, Veritas Clusters or similar high availability technologies.
- Scripting (Shell and/or Perl).
- Understanding of Internet protocols and technologies, as well as an appreciation of network hardware, troubleshooting and design.
- Understanding of PKI, security and encryption
Beneficial Skills
- Good understanding of SANs)
- HSM
- Puppet/Chef
- Mobile technologies (Java, Objective-C).
- Automated server build experience (Jumpstart, Jet, Kickstart).
- Good working knowledge of Cisco/Juniper Routers, Switches, Firewalls, content Switches/load balancers, VPNs
- Experience with VMware
- Experience with software build tools and development systems (Hudson/Jenkins, CVS, Mercurial, GIT, Eclipse)
- ITIL foundation certificate
- HDS storage (AMS)
This is a 6 month month contract role looking to start ASAP with interviews being scheduled next week.
