Your Skills
- Commercial Education or suitable Finance Degree
- Essential: 5 years+ working experience within Accounting/Finance (re)insurance/bank environment beneficial)
- Very good IFRS and HGB accounting knowledge
- (Re)Insurance accounting experience beneficial
- Desirable: Tax/VAT accounting knowledge
- Experience preparing national bank (Bundesbank) or regulatory (BaFin) submissions beneficial
- Very good systems knowledge and experience in SAP (FI, AP, AA, CFM, TRM) preferred, Excel (incl. PIVOT tables, Formulas (such as VLOOKUP, etc.) and Business Objects beneficial
- Good English language proficiency/French beneficial
Your Tasks
- As member of the Financial Reporting & Controlling team you are in charge of:
- Preparation of quarterly and year-end IFRS consolidation packages and Solvency II (Pillar 3) reporting for Service and Reinsurance legal entities/branches including appendices, off-BalanceSheet items, variance analysis and explanatory memos etc.
- Production of the HGB Statutory accounts for Cologne branches
- Preparation of the national bank (Bundesbank) reporting for Cologne branches
- Support and preparation of documentation for the local tax department and auditors
- Analysis/reconciliation of non-technical internal operations in consultation with other branches/entities and Head Office
- SAP accounts maintenance (eg clearing of non-technical and technical bank interim accounts, clarifi cation of open items)
- Support for the Financial Accounting team(ie booking of invoices and accruals, payment runs, bank statements, etc.)
- Reconciliation of interfaced data in SAP (eg for salary/travel, technical accounting interface)
- Support Local/Group Finance projects on demand
