Description
The Software Quality Engineer consults on and supports the realization of the project. He is responsible for
- implementation of Quality Assurance steps, e.g. organization of reviews,
- adherence to guidelines (e.g. programming guidelines).
Activities
The Software Quality Engineer
- participates in the selection of the methods for a project,
- defines (together with the Software Project Manager) the procedure for SWQA related steps (reviews and tests),
- cooperates in the planning of the effort (time and staff) for reviews and tests,
- monitors the correct carrying out of SWQA steps (review, documentation),
- monitors adherence to guidelines and
- has to check that the policies will be considered.

Required Skills
Technical Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of SW Quality Management methods & tools (e.g. static code analysis with QAC/QAC++)
- Project Management mkethods & tools
- Knowledge of the product portfolio
- Knowledge of embedded software development and automotive technologies (e.g. operating systems)
- Knowledge of the product components
- Knowledge of development (all disciplines), test, integration and production (sample and final product) processes

- Understanding of the customers and users needs and problems
- Capability to analyze technical problems
- Communication skills
- Team and cooperation skills (international teams)
