Optical/Transmission Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Optical/Transmission Engineer to join their business in Germany.
Position Title: Optical/Transmission Engineer
Position Type: Contract

Responsibilities:
- Technical interface for WDM rollout
- Ensure WDM rollout requirement for installation, DCN setting, commissioning, documentation in first line and second line
- Support client's partner for installation, especially commissioning and documentation
- Biterrorrate and RFC2544 measurements, troubleshooting (provided measurement equipment)
- Ensure FTI first time right for deployment >95%
- Subcontractor training and certification
- If necessary Network Back Office integration in NOC
- Quality control management
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years practical experience in Optical WDM deployment and commissioning
- Familiar with Processes and WDM deployment
- Very good Knowledge of Networking Technologies such as CWDM, DWDM, ROADM, OTN
- Good knowledge of fiber/OSNR/PMD/Dispersion
- Very good knowledge at least one WDM vendor: Koherent, Ciena, ADVA, Ericsson, ECI or Huawei
- Basic knowledge Ethernet, TCP/IP, OSPF
- Car driving license
- Good communication spoken and written in German, technical conversation in English;
- Solution and cooperation capability
- Able to travel in Germany (Business travel (40~60%) around Germany)
