Technical Architect - Datacentre Migrations - Fluent German and English
Location: Near Dortmund, Northwest Germany
Due to continued growth and interest in our Migrations division and the demand for our migrations platform and services, the Xceed Group is currently looking for a Migrations Architect to work with one of its customers based in North West Germany.
The Technical Architect with core experience within the Datacentre Migrations arena. Reporting to the Technical Practice Director, the Technical Solutions Architect will provide technical Architecture & Implementation, Service Delivery and Pre-Sales. The Technical Architect primary objective is to work closely with our customer to determine the migrations needs through a series of workshops and consultancy services.
As a Senior Consultant of Xceed, you will provide technical architectural support and advice to the program where there is a change to the as-is migration approach which does then not adhere to the client's standards. This role is an intricate part of the team of technical representatives that are accountable for resolving technical design issues. You will assist in the planning phase to ensure that the migration plan developed meets the project's objectives.

Responsibilities:
- To review migrations which are not moving to the agreed standard, or where these are not conforming to standards.
- To organise, meet and review technical issues with all technical and business related towers of service.
- To provide architectural advice relating to migration activity to ensure the applications can be migrated, if feasible
- Create architectural design documents where needed
- Map specific application requirements into the Client's migration plan
- Review architectures required for service migration and submit for approval by the client's technical design authority
- Ensure all technical activities are accurately tracked in mX
- Documenting project risks and issues in the project log and escalating any un-controlled issues and risks to the programme
- Migration technical design
- Documented migration approach for each project to be migrated
- Successfully migrated application on time and to budget
Skills and experience required
- Must be fluent in German and English language
- Previous experience of working on large datacentre projects/programmes of work
- Evidence of Participation in gathering technical requirements through a variety of techniques (facilitated workshops, work sessions and interviews)
- Experience of developing standards, templates, and procedures to aid in the development of the required work products.
- Ability to motivate a team/s, and also to drive the delivery of the project.
- Ability to identify, manage and mitigate project risks/issues and team/project conflict.
- Demonstrates an ability to assist in migration and integration testing, helping analyse test results, and assisting in identifying modifications or necessary improvements.
- Excellent understanding of datacentre terminology, technology and interdependencies
- Experience working with techniques, tools, and approaches for application and system migration/integration
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple work stream
