Job Role: Data Architect
Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Job Type: Contract (6 months)
Rate: £450 - £500 per day
Job Description:
*Seeking a Data Architect with strong banking experience.
*The Data Architect will be responsible for the design, creation, optimization, conversion, and migration of data assets across multiple business lines for both tactical and strategic initiatives across Global Asset wealth Management.
*The individual will act as a subject matter expert for the business architecture, framework, development, tools/technologies suite, and will design to assist Business, IT and Operations with solutions
Primary Responsibilities:
*Determine the data architecture from data sources to data integration and distribution for Wealth management data domains.
*Own the data architecture and oversight of core data platform, to facilitate Master Data Management, Meta Data Management, Data Quality Management,
*Data Integration, Data Distribution and Reporting/Business Intelligence. The core data platform would be a multi-purpose solution serving the needs of several asset wealth management functions
*Partner with vendors and internal IT to deliver the IT architecture
*Use Hadoop and related tools (Pig, Hive, Impala) to manage the analysis of related customer/internal records Write software to clean and investigate large, messy data sets of numerical and textual data Integrating with external data sources and APIs to discover interesting and relevant trends
Qualifications:
*Diverse experience in designing and managing innovative data solutions beyond ETL and Warehousing within Financial Services
*Proven experience in managing complete SDLC from architecture to delivery
*Deep knowledge of data domains in Wealth Management
*Database technologies beyond RDBMS - Columnar, JSON/XML, NoSQL, Hadoop
*Data management solutions - MDM, Data Federation, Big Data, Data Quality, Business Intelligence etc.
*Hands on experience in a Big Data solution, Data Quality solution, Meta Data management would be preferred
*Ability to handle teams working in multiple sites (onsite, offshore, near shore)
