Job Description for Performance Test Manager/Performance Test Lead:
The candidate should have experience in transition, provide solutions, design and manage overall performance team across the projects.
1. Overall management of Performance testing.
2. Ability to analyze complex Performance problems and design solutions.
3. Ability to co-ordinate multi vendor, multi location team.
4. Analyze future needs with respect to hardware/software.
5. Educate the managers, team on the importance of performance design and documentation.
6. Transition the performance tasks from one vendor to another.
7. To optimize the software performance with a given hardware and software configuration.
8. To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the performance tuning meets SLA standards and the client requirements.
9. To support as an SME involving tasks like reviewing test results and other reports| schedule & control performance tuning efforts.
10. To train and develop team so as to ensure that there is an adequate supply of trained manpower in the performance tuning.
11. To understand and devise the performance strategy for Application & its architecture| NFRs and Performance issues if any.
12. To analyze the performance issues using log files| test results| heap dumps| thread dumps and other profiling data and coming up with observations/recommendations with Industry best practices.
