Our client is looking for a SW Architect - In-Vehicle Infotainment (m/f) for both contract/perm role based in Bochum, Germany.We are searching for an automotive expert with strong background in infotainment software. You must be able to act as a technical consultant and advisor for our customers, work with internal teams of architects and developers and be willing to take the technical responsibility for major components and subsystems within projects of over 100 engineers or as a pre-sales team member working to secure new business opportunities.
As an ideal candidate, you have several years of experience in automotive software architecture with in-depth knowledge of automotive software, relevant application frameworks, as well as 3rd party components.
Direct experience in any of the following areas are of particular interest:
- Software Architecture and Design (definition, documentation and evaluation, UML, OOA, OOD)
- Vehicle Networks (particularly CAN or Ethernet AVB) and Diagnostics
- Connectivity, Multimedia, Tuners, A/V and/or Navigation technologies
- Vehicle Power and lifecycle management
- System and platform security (including virtualization, application sandboxing)
- Linux kernel and driver architecture and development
Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience in Software including Architecture and Design (definition, documentation and evaluation, UML, OOA, OOD) and hands-on programming for Automotive and Open Source Operating Systems (Linux, Tizen, Android, QNX)
- Track record of relevant projects working with multiple automotive OEMs and Tier 1's
- A well-organized team player and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in parallel
- Proven ability to solve complex problems in a structured and analytical manner
- Experience designing, estimating and planning complex software systems
- Excellent written and spoken English-language communication skills
- Relevant University Degree (BSc, MSc, Dipl.-Ing., Dipl.-Inf.) or equivalent qualification
