Description of the change
The aim of this project is to consolidate the SWIFT infrastructure currently operational (in Germany) and operational in our Italian Data centre to a new target platform (Linux) in the Italian Data centre.
The infrastructure we will consolidate is very complex dealing with routing information of almost all our clients/customers for financial transactions our Back Office at the company is used for.
This project will result in;
- Reduced complexity of our SWIFT landscape.
- Full control of the data flows of one of our core infrastructures between our customers and our internal applications.
- Ended contract with our provider in Germany for SWIFT services now done for NL/DE customers.
In Scope/out scope
- Provide new platform in accordance with target architecture in the Italian Data centre
- Consolidate SAA, SAG, SNL, SWP, HSM from GAD to Italian Data centre
- Align all Back Office connections
- Redefine/migrate/copying routing rules and logic
- PCIDSS compliancy/certification of the new environment (approval for SAG, SNL)
- Consolidate all SWIFT customer data flows on new platform in Italian Data centre
- Full support structure must be in place
- provider SWIFT activities + contract cancelled
Not in scope;
- Handing over of the application management of the Italian SWIFT infrastructure to the ITI-Middleware and Integration team in Germany. See also risk 18.
- Migration from MOP (minimum operational practice) to SOP (standard operational practice) for Service Bureau level needed incl. needed redundancy coming with SOP. See also risk 19. This line activity so the company can stay a Service Bureau according to SWIFT and the company is able to continue the SWIFT services.
Business Objective
This project will consolidate all SWIFT customers on a new target platform build in Italy (architecturally pushed and advice coming from the Kilimanjaro project). With this project we can end the contract with the provider for SWIFT services in DE once the NL/DE SWIFT customers are migrated to this new platform in Italy. The ended contract in Germany is the main BC benefits.
