Software Programmer - C# .NET, WPF, SQL Server
Our client, A multi-national company, are looking to recruit for a long-term contractor to join their Software Development team to program/develop a medical work-flow device. The English-speaking site is based in South West Germany. The chosen candidate could expect multiple renewals. This will be a long-term contract. (available immediately or ASAP for the chosen candidate).
The duties of this role are below.
Senior Software Engineer
Working in a highly regulated medical software environment Developing global hospital WPF CMS. Using C#4 (Visual Studio 2010 on Windows 7).
Gathering requirements of which not all were in English.
Troubleshooting Performance & Stability issues.
Working with Test Engineers on testing cases
Code Reviews
Using MVVM design pattern for WPF Front End.
Participating in SCRUMs
Utilising OOP knowledge and tools like ReSharper to extend and refactor existing code.
Using Entity Framework (EF4) for Data Access repository.
Using SQL Server 2008 r2 .. setup/maintenance scripts.
Developed Service Gateways, WCF 4 Services
Using TFS for source control and work items.
Documenting Services API with Sandcastle.
Using DotTrace to analyse performance bottlenecks and improve.
Assessment of VS2012 rc+ .NET 4.5.
Design & Develop Façade to simplify Excel Interop.
Developed tools to manipulate image files.
Testing Application in VM's of Production Environment.
