Desktop Support Engineer (f/m)
Harvey Nash are a global Professional Services provider in the areas of Technology and Engineering Recruitment and Outsourcing. For our client, a Investment solution company in Frankfurt Area We are currently looking for a Desktop Support Engineer (f/m) to join on the basis of a long-term freelance relationship.
Project Start:ASAP
Project duration:6 months++
Location: Frankfurt Area
Task description:
. Liaise with Service Desk, Service Managers, International Technical teams and User Community to provide resolutions and customer support.
. Troubleshoot hardware and software problems through to resolution
. Set-up and configure new systems and hardware upgrades
. Operate comfortably within an International team environment.
. Provide support for BCP/DR requirements
Technical Know-how:
. 5+ years IT experience, with proven technical support
.Experience of desktop environments Windows, MS Office, VDi, Mac, Microsoft Lync or similar
. Knowledge and experience of voice/network architectures, data WAN/LAN.
. Understanding of TCP/IP protocol, horizontal and vertical cabling structures
. Video/audio conferencing technologies, PolyCom
. Incident & Service Request ticketing process (ServiceNow)
. Industry Recognised Qualifications such as MCDST,MCSE.
. ITIL foundation certificated.
. Analytical and problem solving skills, Initiative taker, results driven
. Excellent communicator
. Flexible team player, comfortable in a multi-national environment
Nice to have knowledge:
. Degree level education preferred
. experience in an International environment
Languages:
. Fluent English (spoken and written), other European languages would be an advantage
