Next Ventures are currently looking for a Scala or Clojure Developer to join a long-term project in Hannover with our global client.
Main task:
You support the agile software development team in the development of the tracking component in Scala, Clojure, Java, Apache, Spark etc.
Tasks:
- Test oriented software development in a continuous delivery environment, working with toggles and independent deployment of Features
- Participation in the elaboration of functional and technical requirements
- Making testability, identify corner cases and consider
- Monitoring of live systems and analysis of live data
- Participation of team processes/Development Team
- Each of these tasks we deal with. Mainly as a pair or in groups
Professional experience and special knowledge:
- Professional or Senior Level, at least 3 years of professional experience
- Very good knowledge and experience with functional programming (ideally Scala and/or Clojure)
- Team spirit and good communication skills are a must
- Experience in and affinity for the agile development with Scrum and XP practices (eg TDD, Continuous Integration/Delivery, pair programming, ...)
- Test-oriented experience in and affinity, team-oriented software development and Shared Ownership Codebase (git, automated builds, careful cooperation, refactoring)
- Keen interest in the pair programming (the team works a lot in Pair)
- Desirable experience with Docker, NoSQL databases (eg. MongoDB), Java and Apache Spark
- Mastering the popular development tools such as IDE, Jenkins, Git, Unix Shell, etc., we assume.
