Solution Architect (Digital and Web Solutions)
My client is currently seeking a Solution Architect for an amazing life changing permanent opportunity with a market leading BlueChip company. The lucky candidate can work at any one of their many European office locations and will also have the chance to travel around Europe for short-term engagements.
Solution Architect Job Purpose and primary objectives.
Lead discussions with customer's Enterprise architect and IT director and share point of view, provide solution and case experience of TCS that are relevant to customer context.
Thought Leadership and Team Support the Solution Architect should:
- Lead and support digital solution discussions with customer's enterprise architect and IT director in specific business domain
- Define and position relevant digital technology solution in Insurance and Healthcare domain that provides business value to Customer
- Articulate market trends in digital solutions and its adoption
- Conceptualize complex business and enterprise landscape and share point of view
- Proactively share knowledge, information and collaboration with peers, in order to build a skilled, high performance team in the digital technology space
PreSales and Consulting objectives for Solution Architect:
- Leading consulting engagement in the areas including but not limited to assessment of current technology landscape, digital maturity assessment, digital program/project portfolio shaping
- Identifies, defines and assesses complex issues/problems and ability to define the solution design within own area of responsibility
- Recognizes and handles the political situation with the Customer and project teams
Brings together with multiple stakeholders to resolve complex problems and leading the discussion to arrive conclusions
Supervisory/Managerial responsibilities of the Solution Architect:
Strong leadership and managerial skills to independently manage teams, during multiple phases of the project life cycle
Team size of 2 - 5 Technical architects spread across multiple locations
Experience required
- Minimum of 3 end to end implementation experiences related to Digital and Web Technology
- Has understanding of Mobile and Social Media channels
- Proven experience of complex, large scale digital solution design & implementations and successfully managing key stakeholders, customer teams and/or project teams
- Have experience of enterprise or solution architecture for one or many of the digital focus areas (Portal, WCM, Mobile, Web Analytics, EAI/SOA, BPM and WCM)
Architecture and Solution Design
- Strong leadership qualities to set priorities, arrive/guide architecture decisions, defining target/reference architecture and steer digital transformation roadmap definition
- Ability to define and manage the architecture and design guidelines for portfolio of projects and participating in critical design reviews
Technology Focus
- Deep understanding of architecture and low level design/engineering in the area of Portals, WCM, Web Analytics, and so on.
- Working experience of either Java based technology or Microsoft based technology
- Legacy/Backend systems integration using EAI/SOA
- Working experience in one or many of the leading products in above mentioned area
Methodology and Domain Focus
- Excellent proficiency and practical experience in architectural development methods such as TOGAF, Zachman Framework
- Sound understanding of Development operations, Agile, continuous integration
Insurance knowledge is a plus.
Experience required:
- Minimum of 3 end to end implementation experiences related to Digital and Web Technology
PreSales and Consulting engagements
Special working conditions (travel, on call etc):
Flexibility to travel across UK and Continental Europe. Flexibility to take up short term consulting engagements
