Indiv. Leistungsbeschreibung:
The successful candidate will focus on the design, development, enhancement of an in-house data integration platform feeding Back Office, Regulatory Reporting services and future downstream data sources.
These functions are currently partially fulfilled by a submodule of another core system developed using .NET technologies, but we must establish a separate standalone platform developed upon Microsoft .NET technologies.
Indiv. Skills:
A senior analyst/developer is required, strong communication skills, an ability to work flexibly in a highly dynamic environment comprising traders, middle office staff, other front office analysts and developers.
More specifically the technology stack is Windows Services, C#, and SQL Server 2008 R2:
• Strong C# development skills, strong WCF and server-side programming
• An understanding of financial products or prior experience working in the financial sector (especially to tight delivery schedules)
• Proven experience and understanding of object-orientated design principles
• Expert / Outstanding Cooperation
• Advanced / Very Good Analytical Thinking
• Advanced / Very Good Conceptual Thinking
• Expert / Outstanding Systematic Approach (Planning & Organising)
• Team-orientated development experience – e.g. developing against work items, unit testing own work and capturing and discussing work items for colleagues.
• When required able to facilitate the packaging and release process of software developed.

Essential:
• Relevant degree
• Extensive experience using the C# programming language
• Proven experience and understanding of object-orientated design
• Extensive .NET development experience – familiarity with the latest IDEs (principally Visual Studio 2013) and core concepts (e.g. Linq, new .NET Framework 4.0 features, etc.)
• GUI development experience (Winforms or WCF).
• Previous experience programming services using WCF
• Extensive experience working with XML data structures, parsing and processing XML using the .NET Framework
• Knowledge of SQL, specifically Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 T-SQL expertise (additionally a solid base understanding of query performance analysis and tuning)
• Previous experience in Banking and Finance in a front-office orientated role
• Excellent knowledge and working practice of the English language: the role involves working with non-german speakers most of the time.
• Ability to work with colleagues in remote locations (London, Prague typically).
Desirable:
• Previous experience of structured products (e.g. equity and/or commodity derivatives).
• Experience with DevExpress / Dexperience custom controls
• Experience with Team Foundation Server for source code version control and branching
• Familiarity with Jira for work items tracking and management
• Familiarity with BuildMaster for application lifecycle management, builds and deployment
• Experience with Agile techniques
