Beschreibung

The Global Commodity Leader (GCL) will demonstrate leadership in communicating and executing business goals, programs, processes and Global strategies. GCL leads and drives strategies that will enable Distributed Power to meet business and sourcing short and long-term goals including but not limited to: deflation, BCC (Best Cost Country), SSS (Single Sole Source) elimination, PCO (Product Cost Out).



As Global Commodity Leader, you will:

  • Develop and execute the Distributed Power commodity strategies for your commodities with an annual volume of about 30 MM USD

  • Drive sourcing initiatives including best cost country (BCC), productivity, rationalization of supply base, sole source reduction, cycle reduction, on-time delivery and quality improvements, Six Sigma / lean, and cash flow improvement

  • Develop strategic relationships with your global suppliers in order to meet cost out targets via supplier negotiations, alternate supplier development and/or shifting to BCC/Region suppliers

  • In conjunction with Supplier Quality and Fulfilment team, develop alternate sources and/or risk mitigation plans for your single and sole source suppliers to assure on-time fulfillment for assigned commodities

  • Support NPI (New Product Introductions) and utilize new programs to have a positive impact on sourcing metrics across spend

  • Partner with engineering to introduce and increase product cost out pipeline through product redesign, new technology introduction and second source projects

  • Develop and manage complex global supplier contracts and relationships

  • Collaborate and with other Global commodity leaders to develop suppliers across sub-commodities, improving global spend and strategic relationships




ELIGIBILTIY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 5 years of sourcing / supply chain / commodity leader or related work experience

  • Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time, as required

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong quantitative and data analysis skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills, can craft and share a vision, energize others, challenge status quo and inspire change

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix organization in geographically diverse business

  • Strong financial and business analytical skills

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills

  • Oracle or similar MRP system experience

  • Experience developing and implementing strategic plans

  • Previous experience leading BCC sourcing projects

  • Basic understanding of process cost estimating techniques such as Should Cost DFMA or a Priori

  • Strong customer service mindset with ability to improve internal customer relationships

  • Six Sigma trained; Black Belt or Green Belt certified or equivalent quality certification

  • Language expectation: English (fluent or native), German is a plus

  • You work for our customer, together in the team, on site - in the Kufstein area Austria
