Background:

Our customer is a leading provider of power equipment, engines and services, focused on power generation and gas compression at or near the point of use. Distributed Power's product portfolio in-cludes highly efficient industrial reciprocating engines. The well-established Jenbacher and Waukesha brands generate up to 10MW power for numerous industries globally. Headquartered in Jenbach, Austria, Distributed Power employs more than 3,000 people around the world.

Our Customer has implemented a new distribution and logistics strategy for global spare parts fulfillment including the warehouse and transportation function to improve the on time delivery of critical spare parts to the global customer base.



Part of the strategy is that the warehouse operations have been outsourced to a 3rd party provider. From the main DC's the parts will move to FSL's (Forward Stocking Locations) and from the FSL to our customers. This distribution network is operating in a Oracle ERP system.

Role:

The Distribution and Logistics Specialist will be responsible for facilitating and performing, organizing transac-tions with regards to all (financial) required counting activity for all services warehouses. Including activities as processing transactions, managing materials processes and or warehouse logistics and shipping pro-cesses.

This role is reporting to the Global Distribution and Logistics Program Manager.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates or oversees warehouse and logistics operations for the DP assigned warehouses and more specific the purchasing and counting processes in relation with 3rd party and finance respon-sibilities. Activities include process quality of the warehouse operations.

  • Focus continuously on the fulfillment five; EHS, Quality OTD, Cost and Productivity.

  • Facilitate all controllership processes (like daily, weekly, monthly and yearly physical count).

  • Connect the internal and external relationships by creation and maintaining of clear KPI's.

  • Interface with 3rd party supporting organizations; Distribution Center, Logistics, Customs and Fi-nance team to ensure all timelines are met.

  • Training of employees (3rd party) on the new processes and procedures developed.




QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management

  • Excellent computer skill, Microsoft Office and/or ERP-System

  • Ability to work independently

  • Structured work

  • Fluent English and German.

    Additional requirements

  • This position will require to be flexible in working days over the following our customers offices Jenbach

  • Travel to Nurnberg Distribution Centre.

  • Ability to travel within Europe when needed.

  • You work for our customer, together in the team, on site - in the Kufstein area
