For one of our clients we are looking for a Big Data Consultant for Autonomous Driving (m/f).(S)He is part of the Analytics team in Germany and works with respective automotive accounts, Hadoop experts, experienced software developers, data scientists and technology experts to deliver analytic solutions for our customers.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Develop and optimize the Hadoop eco-system of the autonomous driving core and training platform
• Performance tuning of high data volume ingests into Hadoop clusters
• Define and implement improvements in technologies, infrastructure and software or architecture components
• Direct processing and analysis of native automotive formats on Hadoop ecosystem
• Present the knowledge of Big Data platforms, advanced Big Data analytics (e.g. with R) or data mining and statistical
techniques to develop and deliver Enterprise Analytic Solutions for clients
• Design and develop prototypes & proof-of-concept solutions in support of presales activities as well as support the
development of standardized analytic offerings across multiple industries
• Collaborate with other delivery units and takes responsibility for the delivery of Analytics solution
The following skills are required:
• Bachelor or Master degree required in informatics, business informatics, business administration or equivalent
qualification
• At least 2 years of experience in the IT industry in analytic application/solution development
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Hadoop distributions and innovative technologies in Hadoop ecosystem (e.g. Spark,
Hive, HBase)
• Experiences in network technologies and distributed systems are highly appreciated
• Proven experience in all phases of a Big Data, BI or DWH project: Concept & design, development, implementation,
change and operation
• Experiences in software development projects with programming languages like Java, Python, PySpark and Docker
containerization
• Know-how in Linux
• Strong customer focus, assertiveness and precise method of operation
• Possesses an understanding of architectural dependencies of technologies in the customer's analytic environments
• Able to communicate and present internally and externally in a confident manner
• Highly motivated team player
Special technology skills:
• Training Platform: Minimum 2 years of experience in Tensorflow in the area of artificial intelligence and machine
learning, at least 2 years of experience in Hadoop resource management and job scheduling (Mesos/Yarn); know-how in
Deep Learning frameworks such as Caffe, Jenkins (at least 1 year) highly appreciated
• Core Platform: 1 year of experience in networking und network authentication such as NFS and Kerberos as well as MapR
tickets und AD/LDAP; 1 year of experience in package management (Zypper) as well as configuration & deployment
automation (Ansible) required; know-how in data visualization and monitoring (such as Grafana) and programming
interfaces between application software and OS appreciated
• Ingestor: Proven programming expertise in software development projects with programming languages in Python and
PySpark required (1 year)
• Analyzer: In addition to long-standing programming experience in Python (3 years), PySpark (1 year), know-how in native
automotive data formats such as ADTF, ROSbag and MDF4 are highly appreciated
Main Location: Böblingen, Germany, others: Hamburg, Munich (50% travel share)
Language: Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
Project duration: asap, 6 months (fulltime), longer term extension possible
