For our client in Essen we are currently looking for a skilled Project Engineer - Electrical System Integration

Task Description
- Development of mathematical models to answer key business and energy system related questions.
- Utilization of commercial energy systems modelling software for the creation of business case analysis.
- Support for client's internal businesses through provision of expert mathematical modelling or optimization consultancy in areas like, energy systems, energy markets, commercial risk assessment or price forecasting.
- Project management and ownership of delivery on time and to quality, cost and customer
Satisfaction requirements.
- Support and steering of academic researchers in the development of mathematical models and data science tools for energy systems.
- Active management of customer relationship, identification of customer requirements and development associated business opportunities for the business. Development of clear work proposals.
- To provide relevant business units with an expert business and systems modelling consultancy.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with operational regional units across Europe
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal support functions
- Project managing one or more work streams, ensuring the safe delivery of the programme to agreed time, quality and cost.
Skills:
- Degree level Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
- Project management
Qualification/experience
- Energy system modelling experience (technical and economic)
- Knowledge about energy and power systems (electrical and thermal)
- Actively seeks opportunities to leverage experience across technologies, business units and international boundaries
- Communication skills to all levels in the clients organisation as well as externally
- A pro-active and creative approach to problem solving
- The ability to make decisions and meet tight deadlines
- The ability to operate effectively within an international, highly flexible, multidisciplinary team structure, recognising and embracing the benefits of diversity
- Experience in project management and energy- and power system modelling
Nice-to-have:
- Practical energy network (thermal/electrical) system experience - from a specification and integration perspective
- Knowledge and Understanding of the Engineering requirements
- Knowledge of DNO requirements and regulations for connecting systems into networks
- Knowledge about system optimization
- Knowledge about power system modelling (power-flow calculation)
- Basic knowledge of data science
- Languages German, English (both fluent in spoken and written)
