Next Ventures is currently looking for a SAP BODS Data Architect for a role based in Wolfsburg, Germany.
Scope:
The Data Quality Architect will be responsible for data profiling analysis, superior design of generic, rules driven data quality platform architectures as well data visualization components to support data stewards and data governance processes and procedures. Additionally the Data Quality Architect will be responsible for thorough analysis and implementation oversight leveraging metadata, data quality and Business Intelligence knowledge to provide meaningful insights to clients throughout the entire life cycle of the project.
Required Skills:
Expert knowledge of the entire data management landscape and deep understanding of core data quality design patterns and the associated challenges involved with data analysis, modelling, quality improvement and data management implementation projects including deep experience using one or more of the following technologies:SAP BODS, Information Steward.
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years related experience in leading strategies, designing approaches and understanding technologies for Data Quality processes in large scale data management environments
- Strong knowledge of Data Quality improvement tools such as SAP BODS, Information Steward, Informatica IDQ
- Extensive experience with and success in managing projects from inception to production rollout and support
- Hands-on experience working with low-latency Real Time application requirements
- Outstanding communication skills that foster professional relationships among internal and external team members as well as efficient work processes
- Ability to successfully manage international teams and promote cooperation among team members
- Experience managing delivery resources located in multiple client and external facilities and regions during the course of delivering solutions
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and translate client's needs into an industry-leading enterprise data architecture that seamlessly integrates the current system and data asset with the new strategy
- Develop the vision for an ever-evolving Data Quality improvement strategy that not only satisfies current needs but can be easily adapted to future needs as new sources of data input and requirements for data output are identified
- Responsible for designing, testing, deploying, and documenting data quality procedures and their outputs
- Partner with data stewards to provide summary results of data quality analysis, which will be used to make decisions regarding how to measure business rules and quality of the data
- Document at a functional level how the procedures work within the data quality applications
- The primary tasks associated with this role are to use data quality tooling to profile the project source data, define or confirm the definition of the metadata, cleanse and accurately check the master data, check for duplicate or redundant records, and provide information on how to proceed with Back End ETL processes
- Work closely with data stewards, ETL developers, and business analysts demonstrating the ability to partner and maintain confidence as it relates to coordinating disparate information while being able to translate for downstream consumption
- Research all available technologies, determine suitability and provide guidance on the best solution for the project at hand
- Guide team members by offering support, advice and best practices recommendations throughout the project implementation
- Employ extreme attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to dynamic client environments and changing business, operations and technology priorities
